Re-Commit to Healthy Living this Holiday Season!

Roast a turkey with lots of root vegetables and refrain from using too much salt!

November is one of my favorite months of the year… it feels like a giant pause button before the rush of the holidays begin. But November can also be challenging to our health, nutrition and fitness goals. When faced with Thanksgiving entrees, drinks , and desserts, we are often tempted into old habits or mindless eating. And when we overindulge during Thanksgiving, we’re eating foods that are typically high in calories, low in nutrients and contain a lot of sodium, sugar, and saturated fat. That’s one of the main reasons I encourage everyone to pause and re-commit to healthy eating during November – you don’t want to feel tired, bloated, crampy, moody, stuffy, or achy when you’re sharing Thanksgiving with family and friends. That’s the time we all want to feel our best!

Why don’t you join me in re-committing to healthy habits this November? This month, I will be sharing tips on how to avoid gaining weight, and how to fit in a little exercise during this busy time of the year – I will also include three new healthy recipes perfect for the Thanksgiving weekend.

If you would like to get in shape and learn how you can avoid the common cold and flu during the holiday season, join me for a workshop titled Cold Busters on December 8th in Princeton, NJ. I will be sharing great "Super Immunity" recipes. The workshop will begin at 11am and go through lunch. Location TBA. If you don't live near by, you can opt for my online coaching programs which begin right after the holiday season. Click here to register!

Wishing you healthy and heartfelt Thanksgiving! And remember, Bee Fitters, food determines how we feel and heal!
