Avocados: A Great Addition to Your Diet!

If you are having trouble losing belly fat, then opt for an avocado at lunch. Just a half of this creamy, delicious fruit can keep you satiated for up to five hours, according to a recent study published in Nutrition Journal ( www.avocadocentral.com/nutrition/nhanes-nutrition-journal-research ). According to the survey study, "avocado consumers had a better diet quality and beneficial nutrient intakes; lower intake of added sugars; lower body weight, BMI and waist circumference." (www.avocadocentral.com) An additional bonus? Eating a half of an avocado can decrease your appetite by as much as 40 per cent! 


Here's a great "Belly Fighting" Gaucamole dip!



1 Cup of chopped avocado

1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic

1/2 cup of cilantro

1/2 cup of Greek Style yogurt

1 TBS pf flaxseeds or chia seeds

Pich of red pepper flakes

1 TBS of lemon or lime juice



Blend the ingredients in a mixer until desired consistency. Enjoy with organic vegetables such as carrots and cucumbers. Stay away from the salty chips! Remember folks, food determines how we feel and heal!
