Oranges and Grapefruits….good for brain health!
Good news! According to this month’s University of Berkeley’s Wellness Letter, an extra 7 ounces of fruit, especially citrus fruit, can reduce your risk of stroke by a whopping 32 per cent, according to the journal Stroke. To get your daily 7- 8 ounces of fruit, try my juice recipe below. It makes a delicious, refreshing summertime beverage by the pool or beach. Ingredients:
One pink grapefruit, peeled and sliced into small pieces
1 cup of frozen blueberries
One peach, peeled and sliced
1 cup of iced water
Directions: Place all the ingredients into the blender and spin! Drink and enjoy!--
