Did you know that approximately 75 percent of Americans are chronically dehydrated? Yes, it's true. Some might not even be aware that they are dehydrated, especially if they are elderly. As we age, our thirst diminishes. We then often mistake thirst for hunger and eat instead of rehydrating with fluids. There are several signs of dehydration. Here are just a few:

~ Low energy/ lethargy

~ Sleepiness

~ Muscle cramps, especially following an athletic competition
