Did you know that running is one of the best forms of aerobic exercise you can do, especially when it comes to living longer? You might think I am biased since anyone who knows me, knows I spend more than an hour logging miles most of the days of the week, covering anywhere from 45-70 miles. That may sound absolutely "nutty" to some folks, but the sport truly has a way of de-stressing me and keeping me youthful and energetic. But even if you do think I am biased (and nutty :-) ), the facts are out there that support running as the top...

In my opinion, eggs get an awful rap in the world of nutrition, but to me they are an egg-cellent choice when it comes to eating healthy. ( More on this is a future post!)* Here some of my reasons for devouring a couple of them at least once a week:

If your goals include finding the best way to feel better, lose weight, and improve your overall health, you are not alone! Every year, millions of people make health-related New Year’s resolutions; sadly, though, more than 90 percent of people give up within the first several weeks. However, there IS GOOD NEWS! Research shows that people who have a system and an accountability partner – a mentor,...

Because we can get most vegetables any time of the year, we may forget that certain vegetables are at their peak flavor in the Fall. A few of my favorite vegetables harvested in the Fall include eggplant, green beans, beets, parsnips, sweet potatoes (yams) and of course, winter squash. See Fall Veggie list below. These Fall vegetables are high in fiber, helping us feel fuller, longer, and keeping our digestive system running smoothly.

The most popular Fall vegetables are winter squashes -- butternut squash, acorn squash, and pumpkin, t...
